The Reverend Doctor Robert KaKu Gunn, is a retired pastor in the United Church of Christ, a Soto Zen priest in the Village Zendo, a psychotherapist in private practice, and a Lecturer at Union Theological Seminary in Psychiatry and Religion—all in New York City. He has been active in Buddhist/Christian dialogue for over a decade. Next Spring (2013) he will teach “The Psychological Dimensions of Double Belonging and Inter-religious Dialogue” at Union Seminary. He is the author of Journeys Into Emptiness: Dōgen, Merton and Jung and the Quest for Transformation (Mahwah, N.J.: Paulist Press, 2000).
