E. Elizabeth Johnson is the J. Davison Philips Professor of New Testament at Columbia Theological Seminary. She is the author of “Paul’s Reliance on Scripture in 1 Thessalonians,” The Women’s Bible Commentary: 2/e and “God’s Covenant Faithfulness to Israel,” in Reading the Letter to the Romans. She is co-general editor of Feasting on the Gospels, and a member of the Presbytery of Greater Atlanta (PCUSA).
